However, Obama’s anxiety to appease the monster has not served him well. He will never be anything but that Black man in the White House as far as white supremacy is concerned.

          Once Obama is convinced of the futility of his attempts to appease the monster, he will be more likely to free himself from his mental slavery and really begin to be in touch with the ancestral wisdom, the secular wisdom of Black folks. He will take seriously the sacred mandate incumbent upon the pharaohs of old: to promote Maat—right order and justice—and to drive away jzft—the opposite of Maat—from the land. This will be good for Black folks and for all human beings.

HERE IS SOME OF WHAT I HAVE TO SAY IN MY FORTHCOMING BOOK:

          On July 17, three weeks and two days prior to the gunning down of Michael Brown, a gang of white policemen jumped Eric Garner, a Black man, in broad daylight in Staten Island—not generally deemed to be part of the Gallant South—and murdered him. By the grace of God, the entire incident was caught on camera; so the entire world can experience that thrill of horror experienced by Frederick Douglass and his fellow enslaved African Americans on that day of infamy nearly two hundred years ago in Maryland. Those savage, murderous terrorists from Staten Island will supposedly try to claim before the courts that they, too, were acting in the interest of preserving rule and order upon the plantation. Eric Garner was forty-three years old; old enough to have been Big Mike’s father. He, too, was a big Black man: six foot three inches tall and weighed 350 pounds. These big bucks are too menacing! You either shoot them down or you form a pack to jump on them and choke them to death in plain sight in the public street.(Page 12)

A CONFLICT OF INTEREST?

The Howard University upper administration has imposed rather stringent budgetary restraints, as a consequence of which departments are not permitted to pay for the traditional Christmas office parties. This is understandable. However, the upper administration prohibits us from using the appropriate facility for our traditional Christmas gathering, if we “do for self” by organizing a “pot luck” celebration.

Whose interests does the upper administration serve, those of the outside corporation contracted to run the University center or those of the students and faculty?

COMING IN TWO WEEKS

Ian Isidore Smart argues compellingly that white supremacy bears the main burden of guilt in The Gunning Down of Michael Brown. It is because of white supremacy that a young Black man in the United States is twenty-one times more likely to be shot dead by the police than a young white man. White supremacy is the ideology on which our nation, and, indeed, Western civilization itself is founded. This is one of the messages frequently appearing on the placards at the demonstrations. Well, if Black lives really do matter, why is the upper administration at the nation’s premiere HBCU (Historically BLACK College / University) uneasy with Afrocentrism and Pan-Africanism?

     By the time the book is published, the 2014 midterm elections will have been decided and POTUS may well find himself down 1 to 3 against the combined SCOTUS-House-Senate team; and the  prosecutor in The Gunning Down of Michael Brown will most likely still be holding off the announcement of his decision not to indict the killer cop.
