HOWARD UNIVERSITY VS AFROCENTRICITY


The Howard University upper administration continues its unrelenting campaign to rein in Afrocentric intellectual activity. In 1989, the seemingly president-for-life of the University, one James E. Cheek, was ousted by student activists angered by his opposition to Afrocentricity.

The current interim president of the University is contending for the permanent position. What is his approach to Afrocentricity?
